Tracy Matthews has an education centered around accounting. She became interested in development when first given the opportunity under Cañon City businessman and developer Ed Tezak in developing a 100 lot subdivision and then a 640 lot planned development district. The basis of her knowledge prior to development was as an employee of Tezak Heavy Equipment for 7 years of accounting and coordination of several Colorado Department of Transportation projects.
Tracy has been with Four Mile Ranch for 4 years and oversees all functions of land development from governmental and approval process through preliminary budget, bidding, verifying budget on bids, contracting and all infrastructure installed according to budgetary and timeline schedules. In the initial planning areas of Four Mile Ranch Tracy was instrumental in overseeing the coordination of construction of a 3.5 acre park and the trails and open space adjacent to True Grit Park which will be incorporated into the entire project.
One of the greatest accomplishments at Four Mile Ranch managed by Tracy was the construction and acceptance of a 1.4 million dollar traffic light and intersection located at Hwy. 50 and Four Mile Parkway. The work on the intersection required facilitating all communication and coordination with the state highway department, federal……., City government and Fremont County regulations.

At Four Mile Ranch, our staff is our ‘family’. This group of hard-working, extremely dedicated individuals is committed to one another and to the people and community they serve. We look forward to meeting You and Your Family!
It began with a love for the Cañon City climate. Four Mile Ranch is the result of Ross Jeffery’s vision to design and build a master planned community that would appeal to a multi-generational population and varied lifestyles. Boasting 325 sunshiny days, the time was right to build a privately owned, daily fee golf course that would be located in the heart of the community and designed by 2003 Golf Digest Architect of the Year Jim Engh. Four Mile Ranch Land Development Company is dedicated to the highest standard in development with combined experience of more than 40 years.
We believe that it’s time to bring back “the community”. At Four Mile Ranch, we’ve designed a community where you can spend your time with family and friends. The “small town” feel is designed to minimize the waste of time in traffic and maximize the time residents have for relaxation, recreation, fitness and living their lives to the fullest. Gail Conroy, our Director of Community Relations hosts a monthly get-together (Friday Afternoon Club) where you can get to know your current & future neighbors. Or, if you prefer you can get involved by reading or contributing to The Community Insider newsletter.
Our enthusiastic team looks forward to meeting you! It’s an amazing opportunity to be involved in the newest Colorado golf community where we are blessed to meet new people from all over the country every day.
Whether it’s your first visit to Four Mile Ranch or you’re a resident that has lived here for years, we love to see your smiling faces. Our entire staff are licensed Realtors and we strive to make you feel welcome and to provide information to our clients with the personalized service each one deserves.
We can’t wait to meet you!
